    Boxes! Packets, cartons, coffers and crates brimming with the unknown! Or nothing at all, but must be explored, all the same. Some rattle when struck, some smush. The crash tinkle is the herald of a swift exit, I have learnt. And ribbons! Tapes, curly and linear, with elegant architecture or warm-hearted yet mauled bows. All dangling and coyly bouncing in the air. Shiny coins and curious gambling chance games for candies and toys with oddly shaped dice.

    I for one am most glad the mundane stocking is not displayed in the gathering rooms. Mothers would die of shame from the gray ghost footprints of dirty floor ingrained into many a sole.

    I've heard it said that if you've seen one ER, you've seen them all, but that's not true. Cook County General in Chicago is a world unto itself. I suppose they all are. Maybe I am a little more fond of it, because I've been away for a while. I've loved and lost, along the way. I scattered my son's ashes in the lake, I inherited a fortune I could never spend by myself and divorced the wife who could have cared less about my money. I like to think I've grown a bit, matured some over the years.

    That said, I'm pretty sure I can read. Pretty sure I booked a flight to Chicago. Not sure how or why I ended up in New York. No one said anything about an emergency landing, and yet, here I am. Somebody want to explain this?

    Yesterday, I got my credentials reinstated at Stanford may or may not have hacked their system to do so, but..., which means all of my degrees are still valid...even if the subject matter hasn't been invented yet. I can deal with this. I also got my teaching position reinstated, which is good because none of my bank information came with me, either.

    It's a little bit weird, to be alone all the time. I mean, when you're used to living on a submarine and you can almost never catch a moment's privacy; being by yourself is unsettling. I didn't think it was possible, but I might even actually miss the commander. Scary.


    Dean? You had mentioned something about wanting to go out for coffee. Did you still want to?

    I am sporadic at the best of times, usually, and I know everyone will be busy for the holidays for the most part. I will be more sporadic then usual till Sunday. My mom is coming into town today from Michigan for the holiday weekend. She won't be leaving till sometime Sunday morning, so I am going to take advantage of her visit since I haven't seen her in over a year since I moved to PA. Plus, we are both getting tattoos on Saturday. That outta be fun. At least that's the plan. I'll probably still get mine. :-D

    Right then. It's Misha, coming back to the fold once again. I've bounced around this place like a yo-yo, coming and going with my pups. I'm starting off with four this time, but I'm sure the number will grow.

    First up Charlie Crews, from Life. Charlie accounts for two of my pups. I'm bringing back both the post series Charlie and the prison era Charlie, with game history intact. They just took a little hiatus.

    Then this guy, Dr John Carter from ER. Carter has been here at least once before, maybe twice. I'm bringing him back brand new, and from the middle of S15.

    The fourth is Simon Camden, from 7th Heaven. Only Simon is post series, a few years into the future with some AUishness after the episode when he hit a kid riding a bike, ran over him with the car and killed him. This is a darker Simon, a grand departure from the happy tow-headed smiley boy with the floppy mop of a sister dog at his heels.

    I've ben asked to bring Connor and Murphy MacManus back as well, and I'm more than happy to do so if anyone out there is willing to play one or the other. I have Connor in another game, I'm more inclined to play Connor, but I am willing to play either against the other. If anyone bites, I'd really really really like to take them from the end of All Saint's Day just because it would be a different start point for them. So. Any takers?
